Inner Arcade

The Daily Review

One imagined day, five moments, five virtues. Two quiet minutes of recognising the virtues in everyday life.

The Daily Review is built on the evening review — the practice of looking back over one’s day. You are shown an imagined day in five everyday moments, and asked which of the five virtues each moment tested, and whether it was kept or broken: Loving-Kindness and Non-Injury; Generosity and Non-Stealing; Honesty and Non-Lying, Accurate Perception and Correct Expression; Moderation and Non-Excessiveness; Constancy of Aim and Effort.

One day is reviewed each day, at whatever hour suits you. It takes about two minutes, it is nobody’s real day, and nothing you answer is judged.
